How Corona is effecting MTC operations?

We will try to keep this information up to date, but it is constantly changing.

Last updated 4-28-2020

As of Governor Abbott's announcement on 4-27-2020, we will be able to start training again on the weekend of May 2-3 but not at all locations immediatley. We are working with all our site holders as fast as we can to re-open. Status of sites listed below.

  1. We will be answering the phone from home. If you call and we cannot answer, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as we can.

  2. Location Status. Due to the backlog, early classes may be full/sold out. Were doing everything we can.

    1. Open now, starting May 2-3 weekend: San Antonio, Magnolia (Houston), Bedford, Arlington, Mesquite, Hulen (FTW), Burleson, Tyler.

    2. We think these sites wont be open before June 1st Longview, Midland, Denton, Mt Pleasant.

    3. Cedar Hill, Still waiting for more info.
  3. MTC normally has a no refund policy and must have 3 business days notice to reschedule. However, due to the Corona virus, until further notice, if you feel sick, please do not attend the class and call the office ASAP. We will, at no cost to you, reschedule you for a future class and/or put you in pending until you are ready to reschedule.
  4. We are doing our best to clean and sanitize everything that coaches and students come in contact with. If you want to bring your own hand sanitizer, mask, etc, please feel free to do so.

  5. Although MTC provides pens, markers, etc for the classroom, you may want to bring your own so as not to share items.

  6. Although MTC provides helmets for the riding portion, if you are planning to buy your own helmet soon, please seriously consider buying a helmet before the class and bringing your own instead of using our loaner units.

  7. Texas Driver License offices are also being impacted by the Corona virus. The completion certificate you receive from us is good for 2 years. You can learn more about the impact of the COVID-19 disaster declaration on Driver License services at https://www.dps.texas.gov/DriverLicense/covid-19.htm
